Activist criticises DAP’s new music video

KUCHING: Activist Peter John Jaban has taken a swipe at the Democratic Action Party’s (DAP) ‘Tak Nak BN’ music video, which was launched in Kuala Lumpur on Thursday.

The three-minute and 31-second video begins with a singer plugging in a mini karaoke system powered by a diesel generator and then singing in front of dancers clad in Orang Ulu traditional costumes.

“In reality, the rural folk hardly bother about Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak and his wife or Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng,” he told The Borneo Post yesterday.

“The issues which are close to the hearts of Sarawakians are land issues, the Goods and Services Tax (GST), the price of oil and the rising price of goods.” Meanwhile, Peter said the Sarawak for Sarawakians’ (S4S) ‘Safeguard Sarawak’ debate would be held on April 10 at the Kenyalang Park theatre.

“All political parties registered in Sarawak have been invited to send one representative, along with international observers and civil society representatives. The rules of the debate have been laid out and forwarded to all parties involved with a view to providing as close to full and unbiased access to all involved given the constraints of such an event,” he explained, adding each party would be given 10 minutes to speak.-Borneo Post
