Sarawak Chief Minister Tan Sri Adenan Satem said today he met with Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak in Kuala Lumpur last night to discuss the 11th state elections.
“It was a very good meeting with the prime minister last night... that’s all I can say,” he told reporters after officiating at the signing of a power purchase agreement between Sarawak Energy Berhad and Malaysian Phosphate Additives (Sarawak) Sdn Bhd in Kuching. Adenan declined to disclose details of the meeting but said he would make an announcement soon.
Earlier, Adenan proposed that nomination for the state elections be held on April 18 and polling on April 30. The Election Commission will announce the dates for nomination and polling once the state assembly is dissolved. – Bernama, January 3, 2016. - The Malaysian Insider.
