SIBU: Sarawak United People’s Party president Senator Datuk Prof Dr Sim
Kui Hian has appealed to voters to give the party a chance to serve them.
He said the upcoming state election was of paramount importance to the
survival of the party.
“Save the party by giving us a chance to serve you,” he pleaded.
Dr Sim was speaking to the press after he attended a dialogue with
members of SUPP Bukit Assek branch yesterday afternoon.
He said his visit was to lend support to five SUPP branches in the central
region.
He admitted that it would be a mountain to climb for the party in the
coming election and hoped the people would give the young SUPP leaders a chance
to serve them.
Dr Sim said the party had been working very hard to serve the people.
Citing the Kuching floods, he said SUPP members had been helping the
flood victims since the first day of the Chinese New Year until yesterday.
“We are sincere in helping the people and hopefully, they will
reciprocate our good deeds in the coming election.”
Dr Sim also mentioned that the coming election was not solely about
choosing Adenan’s team.
“It is also about choosing a better representation for the Chinese
community in the government,” he added. – Borneo Post.
