Stick with BN government, Tasik Biru folk advised

BAU: The rural community has been advised to stick with Barisan Nasional (BN) government to enable them to enjoy more development.

Assistant Minister of Community Services Datuk Peter Nansian acknowledged that there was a need to further develop the rural areas, particularly in terms of infrastructure, which could only be implemented for as long as they remained solidly behind BN.

“Although tremendous changes have taken place in Tasik Biru over recent years, we have to admit that there is still a lot to be done and the only way we can achieve this is through BN — no other way,” he told residents of Kampung Skibang here during a recent visit.

Nansian, who is Tasik Biru assemblyman, stressed that what his constituents had been enjoying were the outcome of their solid support to BN and for more better things to come, they should remain loyal to the coalition and its leaders.

“As your elected representative, I will always do my level best to meet the request of the people in my area to ensure that they would enjoy development, not just physically but also spiritually.”

Some 400 villagers welcomed the arrival of Nansian, who later announced an allocation of RM10,000 from his Minor Rural Project (MRP) fund for St Philip Church Kampung Skibang, and another RM30,000 for the church funds.

Additionally, the assistant minister also approved RM100,000 as requested by the village headman for the seting up of a football field there.-Borneo Post
