No place for Ketuanan Melayu or Ketuanan Islam in Sarawak!

COMMENTS by Theantdaily readers

Chris: Don't expect us Sarawakians to take this without a fight. There is no place for both Ketuanan Melayu or Ketuanan Islam in Sarawak!

Woo Chee Seng: Fight for your rights and get rid of these pests and vermin! They have the cheek to tell others not to propagate Christianity to their kind and they are doing the opposite to the others!

Rahman Yii: It's very dangerous for a religion to have a political agenda.

Tan Chengchin: Sarawakians, time to wake up, do something this coming election as well as the next GE. Don't be like Sabah

Wendy Rodrigues: Many times bitten - no need to be shy about protesting already. Stop the contamination (conversion)!

Michel Wright: Yes! To all Christian Sarawakians, please stand up and stop all these subtle means of conversions taking place

TheNextSaga: It is very simple as the state government is in the same alliance as the federal government and even the recent UEC blockage by Putrajaya is clear evidence that more of the same will be happening in Sarawak, so please wake up to reality for the sake of generations to come, for sustainable real development to have a chance in Sarawak, as after all these years with its vast natural resources, Sawarak is still underdeveloped...go figure!

Satumii: Sarawak politicians sold their soul to Umno. And that is the botttomline. Dont blame the ulamas etc; blame your local politicians.

Roger 5201: “If indeed in 2006, as was reported that in an effort to propagate the spread of Islam, Kelantan offered Muslim preachers RM10,000 to marry Orang Asli women, plus free accommodation, a four-wheel drive vehicle and a fixed monthly allowance of RM1,000, then there is no compulsion but plenty of propulsion in Islam!

Saul: Plenty of temptation in Islam of all kinds! Apart from those mentioned there are the four wives of all ages, 72 virgins in heaven, trips to Saudi for whatever purpose. Free this and that etc etc.

Stephen Ngui: Huh! Why complain now? Too late as these 47% keep putting these people back in power for the past 50 over years. So stop whining and welcome all these people with hugs n kisses. And appreciate these highly expected conversion which is part of their agenda all along. Oooo…Haaaaa

Jihep Atoi: And you will hear of wars and rumours of wars; see that you are not alarmed; for this must take place, but the end is not yet. - Matthew 24:9

[Persecutions Foretold] Then they will hand you over to be tortured and will PUT you to death, and you will be hated by all nations because of my name.

Ling Kwong Wong: The West Malaysian teachers sent here are hopeless in teaching but busy with conversion.

George Guansing: Religion that teaches stealing RM2.65 billion of rakyat's money and government ministers committing corruption is not a sin. One of the commandments of Allah says "Thou shall not steal" and another says "Thou shall not covet thy neighbour’s goods". Do you still trust BN/Umno. Sarawakians, wake up. They are insulting your belief, dignity and intelligence. High time to replace this evil government.

Malcolm John: Had happened in Sabah in the 70s and still going on around the interior!

Krishna Superamaniam: If all Malaysians become Muslim, what is there next?

Azree Jamaluddin: Still don’t understand. In the peninsula, the situation is reversed. Christians try to convert Muslim children and nobody cares at all. But when Muslims do the same, people think like tomorrow, the world will end. Huh!

Cyndee Gan: Why force? Stupid ah? This is really making them look desperate.

An-tel Luhantu Luhantu: Only the people speak...very little from Christian leaders

Aaron Ting: So many missionary schools in Malaya have Malay Muslim principals. And I am not sure if it is a coincidence but the education standards of all those schools have gone down the drain. I was surprised to learn most of the students are Malay Muslims as well. There is nothing clandestine about the government's trickery. They have announced to the world that Malaysia is an Islamic country. And if one day Sarawak chooses to leave, they will claim we are taking Islamic land - their land! And the one thing Dar Al Islam never does is lose territory. So I am glad Sarawakians are finally waking up even at this last moment. We better fight for every square inch or we won't have a Sarawak we can recognise soon! A secular Sarawak will be in the history books!

Marsha Marshmallows Beh: At least you guys are making a stand. Here in the peninsula, we do not have any one standing up for the children. It’s an uphill better for many Christian parents who have children in mission schools with all these happening there.

Tony Yap: The only way to stop this is to change the government. What for speak out but no one will listen, make you all more stupid!

Mikey: Thank you Jimmy for enlightening us on the conversion of Sarawak Christians. I can tell your frustration judging by your comments. If politicians like Chief Minister Adenan Satem and PRS president Dr James Masing cannot do anything or turn a blind eye to this, it is high time Sarawakian vote for your own future. And vote wisely.

These comments are in response to the article Forced conversion: Sarawak’s Christians will not keep quiet published on Nov 8.
