Teaching is a challenging profession, says Dennis

MIRI: There are many challenges in the teaching profession and those involved must be patient and strong to face them in order to have a successful career.

Giving this advice, Telang Usan assemblyman Dennis Ngau said he was aware of the challenges as he was in the teaching line years ago and found it tough and challenging which he almost could not bear.

“But with patience, nothing is impossible, as proven by many teachers who are successful in their teaching career.

“So, we should emulate them and strive to be resilient and determined,” he advised.

Dennis was speaking at a get-together at Indin Resort in Bakam here yesterday.

The event was organised by SK Senadin Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) especially to get Dayak teachers and parents together for refreshment and fun.

About 100 teachers of Iban, Bidayuh and Orang Ulu background led by PTA chairman Henry Jugah and principal Wilfred Mac were present.

They enjoyed sumptuous meals, songs and dance performances.

“This is a very good refreshing moment for everyone at the weekend. A time to put aside teaching duties for the meantime and come out to enjoy to relieve mental stress,” Dennis said.

The assemblyman later announced he would deliver the RM10,000 allocation that he promised for the association in the coming week.

He also pledged to render more assistance in future if there is a need.-Borneo Post
