Rakyat must get ready for more monkey business this year

QUICK TAKE: This is the year of the fire monkey and since Malaysians have entrusted their money to the Barisan Nasional (BN) government, they should be ready to expect more monkey business by having asked the BN apes to take care of the bananas.

By all reckoning, BN leaders have been admissibly guilty for over decades of using the people’s money as their own personal wealth. BN leaders through corruption, cronyism, nepotism and collusion have caused the inequitable distribution of wealth in this country.

This is why there is a yawning gap between the haves and the have nots in this country as the BN government has failed to give an honest and accurate account to the rakyat by not putting in place an open and transparent system of governance.

Those who query and question the BN leaders of this country are effectively silenced and this makes it difficult for the people as BN displays arrogance and fails to disclose the actual facts and figures of the rakyat’s money.

Therefore, by gauging the turbulent and difficult year Malaysians went through last year, it is quite accurate to gauge and surmise that this year would probably get tougher and the people’s resolve should be put to the test.

It’s actually going to be testing times this year. Many Malaysians are already up-in-arms with the BN government and there are numerous and rising complaints of shoddy and inept governance that has caused much unhappiness and misery to the rakyat.

The year of the fire monkey, which is this year, will unveil and reveal to Malaysians that there is no smoke without fire and the rollercoaster politics of last year is just set to get worse and that is why this year is set to become a nightmare unleashed.

Malaysians can expect their worst fears to be confirmed as BN’s governance has been slowly but surely turning from bad to worse. There is no real need to analyse and study the Malaysian political landscape to ascertain that the country is plagued and riddled with growing problems and crises.

Besides the continuing trend of increasing prices of goods and services, Malaysians can expect a further drop in the Quality-of-Life in this country and race and religious discontent simmering as politicians continue to instil fear and uncertainty in the people.

All this might sound to some Malaysians as scaremongering. But the prosaic reality that Malaysia is regressing and going to the dogs are not sweeping statements and generalisations. There has appeared a body of irrefutable evidence to support these claims to which the BN government has been in denial.

What are ordinary Malaysians to do? They can do nothing much but pay the price and be responsible for voting for the BN government despite many warning signs on the horizon that BN is really a bunch of apes and now the people’s wealth is at their mercy.-TheAntDaily
