Show proof of DAP’s alleged Israel link, MCA tells PAS

PETALING JAYA: MCA Youth wants both PAS and DAP to come clean over the latter’s alleged links to Israel.

The wing’s Young Professionals Bureau chairman Eric Choo said that in line with the principle that the burden of proof lay with the accuser, PAS research director Dr Mohd Zuhdi Marzuki must substantiate his claims with solid proof.

Mohd Zuhdi had earlier claimed DAP was offered a sum of USD300 million in the last general election and an Israeli military camp as a reward to wrest Putrajaya from Barisan Nasional.

DAP is now suing Mohd Zuhdi for making the allegation.

Choo, in a statement, said these were serious allegations against DAP and it was in the interest of the public and the nation that the real truth be made known.

“We urge the PAS Research Director to share with the public in general whatever proof he may have to support his allegations.”

He also insisted DAP state its stand on the party’s ties and relationship with Israel following the secular party’s condemnation over the non-issuance of visas to Israeli athletes last month.

Perak DAP Economic Bureau chief Chong Zhemin had condemned Putrajaya for denying visas to two Israeli windsurfers participating in the Youth Sailing World Championships in Langkawi. Chong however subsequently retracted his criticisms.

“DAP cannot run away but must answer in no uncertain terms about the existence of any relationship between the party and Israel, and whether or not the party supports and intends to work with Israel,” Choo said.-FMT
