PETALING JAYA: Sarawak may be headed for polls in three months, hinted Chief Minister Adenan Satem.
According to a Malaysiakini report, Adenan dropped a big hint as to when state polls would be held during a countdown to a toll-free Sarawak in a 2016 event in Kuching last night.
In his speech, Adenan told the crowd to be ready to vote Barisan Nasional in three months’ time.
“I have kept my word, in three months from now, you will keep your word to me. You will fulfil your promise to give me five more years.
“And I want to find whether you will keep your promise in time to come. Together we keep our promises, thus will Sarawak be peaceful and prosperous.”
The next Sarawak state polls must be held on or before September 20 this year. - Free Malaysia Today
