SRI AMAN: Around 500 people staying near Jalan Brayun, Jalan Kim Seng and Kampung Perintah area here are benefitting from the new big drain project which was completed recently.
According to Assistant Minister of Housing Datuk Francis Harden Hollis who inspected the project yesterday, the drain’s construction started from Fortune Inn Hotel junction to Kampung Perintah.
He said the project is expected to solve the drainage problem at the area which has affected the people of the area for quite some time.
“This projects costing RM300,000 is about 500 metres long. Works on the project began a few months ago,” he said.
Pointing out that the project is another Barisan Nasional government project for the people of Simanggang constituency, he thanked Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Adenan Satem for approving the budget for the project. - Borneo Post
