Naroden: Shareholders to get full dividend next year or 2017



KUCHING: Shareholders of Simunjan and Gedong Zone oil palm plantation will receive a full annual dividend from the developer next year or 2017 the latest.

In disclosing this, Minister in the Chief Minister’s Office (Bumiputera Entrepreneurs Development) Datuk Mohd Naroden Majais said at the moment around 3,700 shareholders only enjoyed annual interim dividend.

He explained this was because only 70 per cent of the whole area was planted with oil palm trees which were now bearing fruit.

Naroden who is Simunjan assemblyman said 30 per cent of the land would be developed in phases.

Companies that develop the area are WFM Plantation Sdn Bhd, Indranika Jaya Sdn Bhd and Hydroflow Sdn Bhd
involving a total of 4,782 ha of land.

As of June 30 this year, total production was 26,000 metric tonnes, he added.

Yesterday, the shareholders received a total of RM1.32 million in annual interim dividend, a marked increase of RM180,000 compared to last year.

Naroden said this after presenting cheques to representatives of the shareholders at Wisma Bapa Malaysia yesterday.

The event was witnessed by Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Adenan Satem.

Naroden said this year would be the ninth year that they received their annual interim dividend.-Borneo Post
