MIRI: The response to Sarawak for Sarawakians (S4S) petition proposing for full autonomy of the state has been very encouraging, up to a point that the organisers realise that they need more volunteers to help run the campaign.
“How we wish that there were more people coming to help us. For those who wish to help, head to the locations stated here and inform the persons-in-charge,” said organising chairman for the campaign in the Northern Region, Don Lai.
S4S, in an earlier statement, would target to collect 300,000 signatures from Sarawakians before handing the petition to the Chief Minister’s Department.
According to Lai, there are three collection points in the northern region, namely here, Batu Niah and Limbang.
Here, members of the public can head to Sam Pao Trading in Morsjaya from 6.30am to 11.30am or call its person-in-charge Chai YC at 016-8550237.
